A Perfect Gift For Christmas - By: Susan Y Nikitenko

Image
A Perfect Gift For Christmas by: Susan Y. Nikitenko December 20th, 2010 Tired, weary from trav'ling; Homeless and on their own. Needing so, a place of rest; They felt so alone. Mother with child, suffering; Needing a place to lay. The new born king would come; Born to the world that day. No room was found in the inn; No shelter from the night. But God provided a star; And many followed the light. Though it seemed a need unmet; God provided that day. A stable, a manger bed; And a soft place to lay. He sent angels to shepherds; To announce this great birth. A birthday celebration; The day God came to earth. Emmanuel was His name; The Christ, the new born King. Jesus, promised child of God; A perfect offering. God provided the angels; God provided the praise. Glory to God in the highest; The greatest of birthdays. If God so celebrated; The birth of Christ the King. If angels glorified Hi...

Christmas Without Christ - By: Jerry Bouey

Christmas Without Christ If we take Christ out of Christmas What's there left to do? We have all the tinsel and the presents - But we don't have You-know-who. If we ban all the Christmas songs That, to some, may slightly offend, Then we'd have to remove the Nativity scene... Tell me - where would it end? If we couldn't worship Christ this Christmas, What's there left to celebrate? All we have left is Santa Claus. We've sold out - is it too late? If we couldn't have the Prince of Peace, Then our peace would vanish soon. All our fondest dreams would lie in ashes While we all sing empty tunes. If we had nothing left to offer But a jolly fat man in red, Then Christmas couldn't be called Christmas, And our hope would soon be dead. If we take Christ out of Christmas, Then what would there be? A world in need of a Saviour But they've left Him no place to be. December 13th, 1994 Je...

How Many Children? - By: Susan Y Nikitenko

How Many Children? By: Susan Y Nikitenko December 9, 2010 While standing looking out my window; An early Christmas snow is falling. And I know that very, very soon; Family loved ones will be calling. I see the cardinals and the blue jays; Shining like Christmas bulbs in the trees. A natural kind of decoration; On the wintry slopes of fantasies. My mind wanders into Christmas past; And the many joys as a small girl. With my brother and both my sisters; A giggling Christmas and bows with swirls. Animated fun and spins spun; Snowflakes of many shapes and sizes. Pretty frosted cookies with sprinkles. Stockings filled with goodies and prizes. The stories of Christmas imagined; Like frosty gliding across the snow. And the old cartoons of yesteryear; And not to mention the mistletoe. The story of Jesus being born; And all the Christmas angels singing. Christmas costumes, halos, wings and robes; Roles to play...

A Fun Filled Night - By: Susan Y Nikitenko

Image
A Fun-Filled Night By: Susan Y Nikitenko November 22, 2010 Christmas bells of love are ringing; Little ones with smiles are singing. Shining angels running everywhere; Running here and running over there. A wooden manger filled with hay; Built with care for our Christmas play. Is where our baby Jesus will lay; The day we celebrate Christmas day. Do, Re, Me Fa, So, La, Ti , Do; We practice singing for our show. Mary and Joseph have a fight; Boy oh, boy, what a fun-filled night. Wiggly shepherds watch the flocks; The smallest one pulls off his socks. One needs another bathroom break; And I need aspirin for my headache. I see glitter, glitter everywhere; From our shining star and angel's hair. Oh, what fun to watch the children play; While they learn of Christ and Christmas day. Make Memories at Christmas - by:Susan y Nikitenko

Make Memories at Christmas Susan Y Nikitenko November 27th 2010 Let's go see the lights tonight: Let's go have some fam'ly fun. Let's bundle up and take a ride; Before Christmas eve is done. Christmas lights are glittering; In the darkness of the night. Cars are passing by each house; To view displays of pretty lights. I hear the happy voices; Of excited children's joy. Times of love and laughter; Shared by little girls and boys. Children's noses press the glass; Little fingers pointing, "see". We all smile because we spot; A live nativity. We stop along the roadside; Daddy bows His head to pray. "Thank-you Lord for your dear Son; And thank-you for Christmas day". Snowflakes falling to the ground; Beautiful snow banks of white. We couldn't of asked for better; This special Christmas Eve night. We sing sweetly silent night; And reflect upon Christ...

Shine Christmas - by: Susan Y Nikitenko

Image
Shine Christmas by: Susan Y Nikitenko (December 13th, 2010) (Christmas Song) Christmas shines forth His Truth; That God came down to man. Christmas shines forth His hope; Redemption for all man. Christmas shines forth His peace; A peace that shines within. Christmas shines forth His love; And forgiveness of sin. Christmas shines forth His Light; And Jesus is that Light. The light that leads the Way; That gives the blinded sight. Shine Christmas, shine so bright; Touch the broken and contrite. Shine Christmas, shine the light; Shine on. shine on tonight. Shine on, through the snow storms; Shine on and on through winds. Shine on through the battles; Shine on through foe or friend. Shine on , Christmas, shine on ; A celebration day. For Jesus Christ our Lord; A beau--ti-ful birthday. Shine Christmas, shine so bright; Honor Christ, oh holy night. Shine Christmas, shine the light; Shine on. ...
