Make Memories at Christmas

Susan Y Nikitenko

November 27th 2010

Let's go see the lights tonight:
Let's go have some fam'ly fun.
Let's bundle up and take a ride;
Before Christmas eve is done.

Christmas lights are glittering;
In the darkness of the night.
Cars are passing by each house;
To view displays of pretty lights.

I hear the happy voices;
Of excited children's joy.
Times of love and laughter;
Shared by little girls and boys.

Children's noses press the glass;
Little fingers pointing, "see".
We all smile because we spot;
A live nativity.

We stop along the roadside;
Daddy bows His head to pray.
"Thank-you Lord for your dear Son;
And thank-you for Christmas day".

Snowflakes falling to the ground;
Beautiful snow banks of white.
We couldn't of asked for better;
This special Christmas Eve night.

We sing sweetly silent night;
And reflect upon Christ's birth.
Oh, how precious these times are;
Moments, beyond all worth.

Make memories at Christmas;
Give your children happy songs.
Of angels and the new born King;
And these happy sing alongs.

Of kisses and hugs good-night;
Of little hands clasped to pray.
While all excited about;
The coming of Christmas day.
