A Painting of Christmas Beauty

The lights along the waters edge;
Shine across a frozen brook.
While Christmas lights reflect and dance;
An early moon peeks out to look.

Snow upon the rolling hillside;
A backdrop for freezing waters.
This white snow of wintry weather;
Becomes play for sons and daughters.

A painting of Christmas beauty;
Trimmed with evergreens along the hills.
And laughing youths come swishing down;
Enjoying the seasonal thrills.

You can hear the Christmas bells ring;
They seem so very far away.
A symbol of the good news ringing;
Christ came to us on Christmas day.

Christ came to us, Christ came to us;
He came to us on Christmas day.
And He would one day give His life;
To wash our sin and shame away.

He came to us, Thank God He came;
Hear the Christmas carolers singing?
They sing of grace and hope proclaiming;
Christ came down.. they keep on caroling.

Christ came to us, Christ came to us;
He came to us on Christmas day.
And He would one day give His life;
To wash our sin and shame away.

The Christmas lights shine brightly now;
And a manger scene lights up the hills.
The youths stand by an ev'ning fire;
Drinking coa coa to warm their chills.

A crackling fire beside the scene;
A lighted moon shining above.
The snow aglow , a drifty sway;
And a nativity of love.

In the quiet they say good-night;
The fire leaves a reddish glow.
And you can see all their footprints;
In the evenings new fallen snow.

Windows along the freezing slopes;
Are lit, and all is very still.
But the beautiful scene remains;
A silent night upon the hills.
